About
Amara is a small Mediterranean kitchen in Jacó with an upscale feel and a menu people keep raving about. The beef gyro wins over even skeptics, the almond-crusted sea bass comes in a passion-fruit sauce, and the grilled shrimp gets its own fans. There are thoughtful healthy and gluten-free options too, and the panna cotta with candied figs is the way to finish. Attentive service seals it.

Super small restaurant that was DELICIOUS! Service was great and the food was yummy. We got the almond crusted sea bass with passion fruit sauce and the catch of the day (mahi mahi). Would recommend. Came up to about $42 USD for two
Yummm! We’re going back tomorrow. 😋 We went here for dinner and were so impressed with the quality of the food, the thoughtful attention to detail, and the hospitality of the staff. Everything was super delicious and fresh. There are lovely healthy options on the menu, and they made the fried artichoke hearts gluten free for me. The panna cotta with candied figs was creamy and not too sweet.
Amazing food! Beef gyro and grilled shrimp are a must. Auden and Genesis were very attentive and helpful. Definitely stop by if you’re in the Jaco area.
