Bohío Bar

Bohio Bar is an absolute gem in Jaco, and we couldn't have asked for a better spot to unwind. This small bar truly lives up to its reputation for friendly, welcoming vibes. ​What made the experience truly special for us was the bar's genuine love for Jamaican music and culture. As visitors from Jamaica, finding a place that celebrates the reggae rhythms and relaxed atmosphere felt like finding a home away from home—it was a huge highlight of our evening! ​While we didn't get a chance to try the food, the drink prices were extremely reasonable. We picked up four beers and a bottle of water for just $14 USD, which is excellent value for the area. ​If you are looking for a casual, friendly spot with good music and a great atmosphere, definitely stop by Bohio Bar. We felt instantly comfortable and can’t wait to visit again!

Amazing place with a hipster / surfer vibe. Had a fantastic DJ playing great tunes that had people dancing on the street. You can hear the DJ from the main road. This unassuming little place has an amazing atmosphere and is a huge contrast to some of the seedy places nearby.

I love small little unassuming places on sides streets off the beaten path and Bahio bar was it. I met Susi, the bar tender who was extremely attentive and passionate about her job. I had the crispy chicken with fries, which was delicious and a local bought me a shot of tequila. Seemed to be a local hang out which was what I was looking for!
