Rented a car out of LIR and returned it in Jaco a week later. Bought their full insurance package which added a few hundred dollars to the cost, but it eliminates deductibles and other hassles should something happen. The deposit was $500 USD and was promptly refunded. No surprises of any kind, the car was fine, no issues upon returning it, and the final price was exactly as quoted. Would rent from them again without hesitation. Tried in Jaco, but no availability due to their popularity.

Antonio helped us with our rental. We had the best service. We were uncertain about insurance and though Mexico is covered under our car insurance, Costa Rica is not. Antonio was very helpful in this regard. He was very patient as we worked through the insurance documentation process to learn we needed the coverage he was offering. He was also very helpful when we came back to add a few days. The car was practically new Hyundai, only 6000km. It was comfortable, and handled well. All the needed safety equipment was there, and it was a good price. We drove to two national parks, no issues. We try to keep it very clean, get as much sand out as we can. We turned it back in with no hassles. I would definitely recommend Economy Car Rental, and rent from them again Patricia and Stuart O.
