About
El Point is a beachfront restaurant in Jacó where you can eat almost on the sand and catch the sunset, with a 4–6pm happy hour. The seafood at its best is bright and fresh — the ceviche and shrimp dishes get the strongest praise — though reviewers note it can be hit or miss and service sometimes slow. Come for the location and drinks, and order the fresh, simple seafood.

Great restaurant on the beach. You can sit nearly on the beach itself, see the sunset while you feast or indulge, and the food is really good. I ordered the shrimp and chips and everything was fresh, hot, and crunchy. It was 8,000 colones (~$17 USD/15€) They had actually spicy hot sauce as well. For me, its been very rare thag i find a restaurant with good flavor and vibes in Costa Rica but this is one. Small feedback though is that the staff could be more friendly and slightly more outgoing with their service like greeting all guests immediately.
El Point is a great beachfront spot with beautiful sunset views. We only tried the ceviche since we had dinner plans elsewhere, but it was fresh and tasty, and the seafood menu looked promising. Relaxed atmosphere, great location, and a perfect place to enjoy the ocean while you eat.
My husband and I are visiting Jaco, Costa Rica. The restaurant is on the beach, great location. The service was pretty good. We wanted to try the seafood platter, it was okay. My husband said the lobster was good, we switched the calamari to fried shrimp they were good. The clams were very small. The rice was a little crispy. A good place to try but a little pricey for the quality of food. Maybe we should have tried something else.
