I’ve been coming to this town forever and I have never gone to this location for Beachbody gym. It was good. Probably the best gym that I found in town. There are three gyms here that I know of. I’ve been going to the one that’s really close to my house for years. This one is kind of an across town and I now finally have a bicycle so now I’m going and it’s much larger and the equipment seems to be newer. It’s a bit loud. Don’t need the music blasting like I’m in a disco but for the most part it’s pretty nice. They have a lot of equipment and a lot of open areas to be able to do stretching and lots of other activities, I saw somebody clearly rehabbing from an injury and it was good. I liked it. I didn’t quite understand the upstairs sleeping 🛌 area… 😂
Great Costa Rica gym vibe. Nice wood cabana style roof for most of the structure; kind of a solarium/greenhouse in the free weight area so it’s very hot. Bring water! Bring your own towel mandatory. Decent equipment and free weights even for an experienced gym-goer. Lots of fans but no air conditioning and open air windows so the temp inside is as hot as outside. $10 USD or ₡5000 day pass March 2026. *Some of the other photos are definitely NOT this location, particularly the ones with the ‘track’ and large glass windows. This is not your typical LA Fitness/Planet Fitness/GoodLife….there’s no mistaking you’re in Costa Rica.
I was a member of this Place since they opened, they always talked about things that they were gonna improve in the beginning. They never had fresh filtered water and they promised they would do that. Eventually they always promised that they would stay open a little later once they got established like the other gyms and then once they got established, they never changed either of those things and when I asked the owner directly if you ever plan to do that instead of answering me as a customer, he answered me by telling me I was not welcome to go there anymore and to go somewhere else So just so you know this place does not provide filtered water if your bottle runs out and you want water you have to pay three dollars plus tax Or you’re welcome to use their water which is out of the sink where everybody spits washes their faces and hands and it’s not filtered at all. Those are your choices and it’s the only Jim in the entire world I’ve ever been to that does not provide water for their members. Plus, they charge more than anybody else in town. They close very early on the weekends 4 o’clock on Saturday and 2 o’clock on Sunday while the other gyms in town stay open regular hours.
