About
A go-to for cooling off on a hot Jacó day. Scoops are generous and affordable, cheaper by the cone than the cup, with flavors that change daily and staff happy to hand out a few samples first. The melon sorbet and the banana split get singled out, and the smoothies are worth a try too. Lines can run long at peak hours, so aim for off-peak.

Quick and friendly service! The melon sorbet was incredibly refreshing and bursting with flavor — perfect on a warm day. The portions were also larger than expected, which made it an even better value. Definitely worth stopping by if you’re craving something cool and delicious.
Heladería El Barco was hands down the best of the three ice cream shops we tried during our visit to Jacó! The service was super friendly and welcoming, and they had lots of different options to choose from. The servings were generous, the prices were affordable, and most importantly — the ice cream was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re craving a sweet treat while in Jacó!
Excellent service and very kind employees. They let us try a few samples before we ordered. The ice cream is a very affordable price, especially if you get a cone instead of a cup. The flavors are good, but it won’t be the best ice cream you’ve ever had in your life like gelato in Italy. Still, It’s a great option for Jacó, and they even have flavors that change each day too.
