About
A backpacker base a block from the beach and close to Jaco's restaurants and nightlife, with an open-air kitchen and dining area, a small pool, and a mango tree outside the rooms. Host Mari is attentive — one guest had a phone recovered from a tour and returned. It's clean, secure (gate locked at night with a guard), and affordable; just expect basic beds and limited parking.

Had the best time of my life !! Mari is the best host you could ask for she was on top of everything. Left my phone on the 4 wheeler trip. She called and had it brought back to me. She went way out of her way above and beyond for all our wants and needs. Clean rooms very spacious and secure place to stay. Close to many nice restaurants and night life !! Hope to be able to book again soon !!
Upper level basic room , cooold a/c.. good for short stay. Nice open air kitchen dining area.Mango tree right outside of my room.
We've had a great time at the Buddha House. It was calm most of the time and I recommend staying here. I liked the interior and furniture and the little outside pool. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Two things I wasn't happy with: - the room had a moldy smell (I believe that's a problem in many tropical countries) - the restaurant was only open for breakfast in the morning so we couldn't order food or drinks there in the evening. Which wasn't much of a problem though because there is a variety of other restaurants and bars in walking distance.
