About
A Jacó stay unlike the others — part guesthouse, part Jewish community, hosted by Izu and Toni, who treat guests like family. The Israeli-style food is a highlight, from Shabbat dinners to schnitzel, pita and hummus, and Izu himself gives the surf lessons. There's a tropical garden and a resident cat. Come knowing it's more hostel-and-kibbutz than fancy hotel.

The surf lesson with Izu was amazing! The food at the Izus place was great-both the shabbos meals and the attached restaurant. We met so many amazing people at the Shabbat dinners. The staff is all very friendly and Izu himself is lovely. There is also a beautiful cat, Tikvah that we befriended who lives on the property. In terms of the accommodations, we would say this is much more of a hostel/kibbutz and definitely not a hotel. Great for young people looking to make friends and save on accommodations. If you want more of a hotel and to stay somewhere fancier I’d highly recommend staying somewhere close by and having all of your meals at Izus as well as attending shabbos services and taking the surf lesson with Izu. It is possible that the rooms will be updated in the future with some better equipment and furniture. It was wonderful to be in such a remote place and have a Jewish community.
An island of tranquility and friendship tucked away in the heart of Jaco. Izu and Toni are as welcoming as can be and treat their guests like family. The hotel rooms are spacious and provide everything you need for a comfortable stay. The staff is very warm, knowledgeable and helpful with any question or concern you may have. And their concierge service will go above and beyond to make sure your travels are smooth and full of fun.
Very cozy place. Beautiful tropical garden inside. Very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable employees, especially Darya and Thomas. Complimentary breakfasts are ok for being continental. Room had everything necessary. There's even kitchen for everyone to use with stove, microwave, purified drinking water, utensils, plates, etc. Thank you guys, for a great service. I am not using my real name, but I was staying in room 3.
