This isn't the nose-to-tail plod some horseback tours settle for — riders trot, canter, and gallop on the beach, then cross a river belly-deep on horseback into the jungle to spot sloths, white-faced monkeys, and coatis. Guides like Ronald read your riding level, cut fresh pineapple to share along the way, and snap photos throughout so your phone stays in your pocket. The horses are calm and well cared for.

Our tour guide was very conversational, pointing out monkeys and any plants or animals and told us facts about them. we also got to rest on the beach with some pineapple prepared by him! It was beautiful and very welcoming!
I would like to offer some recommendations for this tour. We had an amazing two hour ride between beach and jungle. Horses are very nice, in good shapes and well treated. We had the chance to see two sloths, white faced monkeys and coatis. So lucky! I had experience riding and my husband no, but he felt secure all the tour and he had the chance to experience gallop! Our guide also offers us some fruit to try during our ride. Thanks for everything !!
We had a great ride through the jungle and on the beach with Ronald (our guide), Guapo, and Paloma. Guapo and Paloma were super sweet horses and very responsive to our commands (and Ronald’s voice cues). I loved that this was not your typical nose to nose walk on a horse. We were able to trot and canter several times. Cantering on the beach was so much fun. Of course, Ronald will cater to your riding level, but he really wanted you to enjoy the experience. I am heading back in March…..I will definitely ride with Ronald again!
