Jaco Laguna Resort & Beach Club

If I could do zero stars I would. While we were down eating their free breakfast the hotel staff was raiding our room and stole 200 cash and my credit card, then took off, hit the gas station and went on a shopping spree spending nearly 12k usd! There are cameras everywhere yet the manager refused to show us who was in our room. They tried to convince us not to call the police and said they would do an internal investigation. I asked for the police number and they gave me red cross and said it was the police. We finally called 911 and the police came and they took us to file a report. The staff was nearly in tears knowing they were caught and some talking together with hands over their mouths. They know what employee it was the robbed us and they were all talking about it. A interpreter from the court house came back to the hotel with us and chewed them out, they looked sad and offered us a free cocktail on the house for being robbed. We declined and left to a new hotel. They refused to refund us for our stay or do anything else. I would NEVER come back here and will make sure everyone knows they are thieves and will rob you while you are out of your room.

Excellent location. Awesome service. Delicious breakfast. They offer lots of tours on the side. Surfing school just by. Pura Vida!
