About
A local Costa Rican spot just outside the tourist strip, with bohemian swing seats at a family-style table. Regulars come for huge, affordable casados, the grilled fish with picadillo de chayote is a favorite, plus patacones, giant smoothies, and what some call the best mojito in town. Everything comes out hot and fresh, far from the touristy prices downtown.

Jacó Sabor is a great local spot just outside of the main town of Jacó! If you’re looking for something very authentic, this is the place. The food is delicious, the portions are huge, and the prices are very affordable. We ordered the traditional Casado dishes and the chicken and rice — everything came out hot, fresh, and packed with flavor. The smoothies are massive and perfect to cool off with. Highly recommend stopping by if you want a tasty, local Costa Rican meal without the touristy prices.
Marveli and Tanya have authentic Costa Rican food and atmosphere including a family style seating table with bohemian swings for seats. The Mojito is best in town and the food is delicious.
Food was great. Nice place off the beaten path. More of a local feel then the tourist places down town.
