About
A beachfront restaurant where you can request a table right on the sand and watch the sky turn pink and purple over the ocean, often with live music or a mariachi band drifting up from the beach. Regulars order the ceviche, coconut shrimp, plantain poppers, and the teriyaki bowls, at prices they call fair for the quality. It books up for sunset, so reserve ahead.

Awesome restaurant right on the beach. Minimal wait time to be seated. You can also RSVP ahead of time and request a table on the beach sand. Since we didn’t have an RSVP, we were seated closer to the entrance of the restaurant which wasn’t bad at all. Service was fast and the staff was very friendly. We dined on a Saturday evening and arrived around 7pm. Plenty of open tables. There was live music at 8pm and the restaurant started to get a little more packed with customers. We had the Tropical Shrimps and Plantain Poppers for appetizers. Both were very delicious. The passion fruit dip for the shrimp and homemade BBQ sauce for the plantains was very delicious. For entrees, we had the Teriyaki Bowl and the Shrimp+Rice. Both were delicious and good serving size. And of course, we had the local Imperial beer as our beverage 😎. We would definitely recommend Koko’s and try coming back next time for lunch. Pura Vida 😎
A beachside restaurant with a vibe. The food is delicious😋 I had fish tacos which were a very generous portion. Watch the sun go down as you're sipping a cocktail. The sky turned all sorts of pinks and purples before fading to black. It was truly spectacular to watch 😍
We had high hopes for this restaurant, especially after being turned away two nights in a row because they were fully booked. We made a reservation for sunset on our last night and really enjoyed the atmosphere. The drinks were good and the menu looked great. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. I ordered the beef tenderloin (medium rare), and my girlfriend had a chicken salad. The dishes looked great when they arrived, but when I cut into my steak, it was raw inside with only a thin cooked layer on the outside. I let the waiter know, and he took it back to the kitchen. Surprisingly, it came back just a few minutes later — still raw. At that point, we decided to leave and eat elsewhere. I understand they were busy, but for a high-priced main dish, I would have expected them to properly check the temperature before serving it again. It was a disappointing end to what we had been looking forward to.
