At the quiet northern end of Jacó, past the main street, this is a spot regulars return to for the mixed ceviche, fresh, zesty, and named again and again, plus mahi-mahi tacos, fresh tuna sashimi, and an off-menu bacon cheeseburger worth asking for. Portions are generous, prices are fair for what you get, and the attentive service, often with a complimentary spicy-pineapple shot, rounds it out.

5/5 stars. Manglar Bar and Restaurant is a hidden gem at the end of the road 🌟 Mixed ceviche was fresh and zesty. Mahi-Mahi tacos were a winner. The off-menu bacon cheeseburger (ask for it!) with octopus and jumbo shrimp? Sublime. Service was top-notch, even in an empty house. Pineapple and passionfruit slushies were the perfect chill companion. Can't wait to be back 😎
Great spot all the way at the northern end of Jaco, past the main street. Atmosphere hits the nail right on the head, great vibe. Jocelyn was our server and she was great, helping explaining the menu and even helping us find an item that wasn't listed anymore. The food was all very tasty and portions are generous. Also they treated us to a couple of rounds of a spicy pineapple shot which is a nice touch. Prices are very fair for what you get, stacks up well against other nearby restaurants for value, for sure!
CEVICHE CEVICHE CEVICHE. And of course our friend and server Minor. I wish I had more photos but my phone didn’t get the chance to eat first. Truly the best lunch and service we experienced in Jacó. The mixed ceviche was hands down the best, and the passion fruit margaritas are an absolute must. Thank you for having my mom and me for such a special lunch. We talked about it the entire rest of our trip and will absolutely be back if we return to beautiful Costa Rica.
