We loved our time here. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Our room was cleaned beautifully and thoroughly every day. And you can’t beat the location. Stone throws away from the beach. The restaurant Cocos Nextdoor has amazing food and staff. I would absolutely stay again and recommend staying.

+ the location is good, right at the beach and walking distance to restaurants and supermarket + the staff is friendly, especially the waiters at the restaurant + Breakfast was included and it was good - the pool is small and disgustingly dirty with cloudy grey water. There is only a few plastic chairs around and too many people - terrible WIFI works for 5 minutes at a time - only 2 outlets in the room AND THEY WERE IN THE CEILING, impossible to reach or use, plus 2 in the bathroom - skinny flat mattress and squeaky SCREAMING bed frame wakes you up every time you move at night - Brit capsule coffee machine in the room had to be plugged to bathroom and balanced over the sink. Our request for additional capsules was denied - first room we were offered was on ground level. It has only one window/sliding door directly to the pool. Either open the curtains and have people on the pool direct view to the room or sit in the darkness. There was literally no room to hang anything or even unpack your bag. After we killed 4 cockroaches we decided to change rooms - the room on the third floor had a tiny balcony, too small to sit on but enough to hand your swimsuit to dry. The same unusable ceiling outlets. I have been coming to CR for 25 years. This is the only place I would not come back and cannot recommend. It’s run down, dirty and skanky.

Upon entering, I discovered that the balcony sliding door would not lock, and in addition the safe would not work because as it turned out, there were no batteries. So I wasted about 30 minutes trying to resolve all of that rushing so I could try to get a walk in before sunset. Then I discovered that they were shaving materials left behind from the previous client and a number of other minor issues that were very aggravating. Only one electrical outlet and the whole space with none in the bathroom. An air conditioner that leaked water on the floor from the main area, small room to the front door. TV that kept getting pop-up messages saying that it wasn't working and you'd have to figure out how to get rid of the message and even if you reboot it still happened. A little refrigerator that was very rusty on the outside and producing so much water. It would leak out and add to the air conditioning water on the floor. The staff was very nice, but incredibly unhelpful when it came to figuring out how to take the bus from Yoko down to Manuel Antonio Park. It turns out it is relatively easy if you know the system, which is to say you know which stops to go to that are completely unmarked although they do look a little bit like bus stops because they have a bench. So I wasted an hour trying to get to the bus station only to find out. It was closed for an hour for lunch when I got there fortunately other people help me and got me to a nearby stop, and indeed the bus came and was fine after that, but I wasted an hour as a result. I would only stay at this place if I had to pay $40 a night, but even then I would wanna pay more and stay out of a different place.
