We tried Restaurante Rústicos for dinner because it seemed like a spot locals actually go to, and it didn’t disappoint. There’s a big variety of dishes — chicken, beef, seafood, and even some local options I hadn’t seen anywhere else, like banana ceviche. Everything is very affordable, drinks come with free refills, and the whole place has a relaxed, no‑frills atmosphere. A great choice if you want something tasty, local, and low‑key.
We had two locals recommend this place as the best Costa Rican food in Jaco. They told us that it is where the locals eat. It is cafeteria style, inexpensive and delicious! Worked perfectly for our large family of seven. Most of us ordered the fish as our protein...we just pointed to what we wanted on our plates.
Came here several times. The food is good. And the price is very reasonable. Didn’t understand why every single time they asked me if I was paying for 2 plates??? Clearly I was alone. Otherwise recommend for local, efficient soda.
