Room2Board Hostel and Surf School

Amazing hostel overall. Great location and a really fun, social atmosphere. We stayed in a private room on the top floor with a spectacular view, which was a big highlight. Rooms were comfortable and cleanliness was good. They have a quiet policy from 11 pm, which makes it easy to rest and start the day early. The service was great — Greta welcomed us, explained everything, and helped us find the best plans. The rest of the staff was also very friendly. The amenities really stand out: delicious food (don’t miss the reina pepiada arepa), great sandwiches, good drink options, and reliable WiFi. I took a yoga class with Lupe that was amazing, and my boyfriend rented a board with excellent service. Great value for money. One small downside: at the bar, a blonde staff member was a bit rushed and not very helpful at times. Highly recommended for the vibe, the people, and the overall experience!

We didn’t stay at the hostel, but my fiancé and I attended two yoga classes with Lupita, and they were amazing. Lupita is a wonderful instructor — each class was informative, technical, and deeply relaxing. The ocean view made the experience even more special and incredibly peaceful. She created a welcoming environment and guided us in a way that was both engaging and calming. We left each session feeling refreshed and grateful. Highly recommend her classes!

Loved staying at this hostel. My husband and I got a private room and bathroom, and highly recommend doing that for anyone wanting a quiet space in an exciting area. Location is fantastic, rooms were very clean and the AC worked great, food and drinks at the downstairs restaurant were yummy, and the staff was incredibly friendly. Brian in particular went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Thank you!
