The location, food, service, price, and overall feeling here is incredible. You would have to go to five star restaurants in the United States to get the quality of food that we’ve had here in Costa Rica for a fraction of the cost. Simply amazing.
Samudio’s Sunset Restobar is one of those rare places where the story on the wall is not marketing. It’s real, and you can feel it the moment you sit down. This is a true family-run spot with deep roots in Jacó, and that legacy shows up in the warmth of the service and the pride behind every dish. The staff treats you like a guest, not a transaction. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely happy to have you there. The food is outstanding. Fresh seafood, bold tropical flavors, and dishes that feel thoughtfully prepared rather than rushed. Everything tasted clean, vibrant, and full of character. You can tell they care about ingredients and execution. Happy hour is excellent. Great cocktails, well-priced, and perfectly timed to settle in and watch the sun drop. And the sunsets here are unreal. Sitting upstairs with a drink in hand as the sky changes colors over the ocean is one of those Jacó moments you don’t forget. Samudio’s isn’t just a place to eat. It’s a piece of Jacó’s history that still feels alive, welcoming, and relevant. If you want great food, genuine hospitality, strong drinks, and one of the best sunset views in town, this is the spot.
Very nice restaurant the staff where very helpful and friendly with the menu we got there for 6pm the food was fresh and well made. It all arrived at a good time. The cocktails are very nice and the strawberry juice was particularly good. the red snapper was a lovely dish. The seared tuna looked amazing and the plates where full of fresh lettuce and vegetables. If you go upstairs you can see the sunset. Thank you for a nice dinner.
