About
A calm, homey soda near the beach in Jacó serving fresh casera cooking at fair prices — the chicken filet and the generous rice with shrimp get named again and again, and the garlic-sauce tilapia is local, not farmed. China, who runs it, is warm and patient with visitors working on their Spanish. Cash only, and worth finding by the red sign.

My wife and I absolutely loved this spot. It’s located in a calm, quiet area with delicious food at very fair prices — especially considering it’s right by the beach. Randy provided excellent service, and we truly appreciated how well he spoke English while we continue improving our Spanish. My wife had the chicken filet, which was phenomenal, and I had the rice with shrimp — great value and full of flavor. We’re already looking forward to coming back again soon.
NOTICE: CASH ONLY RESTAURANT. Calm restaurant with very good pricing (4000 colones for the Casado, and 7000 for the rice with shrimp, but that one is a huge serving). The owner is very friendly and welcoming, the food is served fast, and it tasted very good.
Excellent, fresh homemade (casera) food. Recommened by locals. Look for the red sign, thats tucked away. There is counter and dining room seating.
