We enjoyed our stay here very much! The hostel was beautifully decorated with murals and kept very clean. There were plenty of lounging areas as well that helped create a social atmosphere. The staff, especially George and Brendan were beyond helpful and so friendly! They really made the hostel a worthwhile place to stay! Thank you for taking such good care of us! Pura Vida!

I had such a great stay at this hostel and couldn’t recommend it more. The atmosphere was welcoming, clean, and comfortable. What made this hostel special were the volunteers!! Jorgelina Fekete was incredibly kind, helpful, and welcoming from the start. she went out of her way to make sure we had a great experience. Her and catalina made me and my girlfriends feel very comfortable and created a positive, fun environment! Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience — I would absolutely stay here again.

Starting with the goog side: the staff is super friendly and helpful and the location is perfect if you want to be close to the city center without being IN the main street, but close enough. There is also plenty of room for parking in the street, which is nice. That said, service is a little bit confusing, because breakfast is served until 10 am, but the same worker at the front desk is the one making breakfast, sometimes, and the overload does not gives a seamless experience. Also, we left some clothes for laundry in the afternoon, with the promise of them being ready by night, which did not happen and we had to sleep without our pijamas. We took the “Blue Jeans” suite. The room smells like mold, mattress and pillows are not comfy, the exhaustion fan in the bathroom sounded like an errhatic jet turbine, flushing is tricky, the seat cover was unattached, indicating that maintenance is irregular. And the worst part is that the room is right beside the kitchen/entrance lobby. There are a lot of noisy teenagers coming and going at all times at night, laughing, speaking loudly, opening and closing the kitchen cupboards with the delicacy of angry hyppos, and there is no staff to supervise or ask then to be quieter at any time. And, differently from other hostels I’ve been many times before, the kitchen has only a refrigerator, not a freezer, which means you can’t buy frozen stuff or it will melt down. So, briefly, if you are a teenager this might be an OK experience, but for middle aged couples travelling, like me, this is definetly not the kind of experience you are looking for.
