Banco Nacional

I went to withdraw money here from a Canadian card. I selected English and it was all in English until right before the withdrawal, a message appeared in Spanish saying that they were going to charge me __%. The message was not formatted to fit the screen properly so it just showed the percent sign % and the number in front of it was cut off. I had no way of knowing if they wanted to charge me 0%, 1%, 15%, 200000%, etc. I didn't trust it and wonered if it was a scam, so I just cancelled and went to Coocique instead.

Avoid the ATM. Actually I recommend avoiding the entire bank altogether. I never received over $400 that was taken out of my account. I spoke with two different people at Banco Nacional who offered zero assistance and told me I needed to straighten it out with my own bank. I’ve wasted way too much time disputing this claim.

Literally one of the worst and slowest banks in the nation if not the entire world it's almost comical. You can spend 3 hours in there trying to do one simple task like change money. The comedy is they actually think they're professional. But they should be wearing clown suits with big shoes and big red noses.
