Bike Arenal

We are seasoned cyclists hoping to rent bikes to create our own adventure. We showed up the day before to size up and set up. We each had to go up a frame size larger to get a better gear variation from the basic we were shown. However, as we rode them, we noticed they were poorly maintained causing us to frequently stop to attempt to repair them: front suspension broken, seat post didn’t stay in position, loud click in a bottom bracket. When we returned to the shop and explained our experience, the employee said nothing (as if perhaps they’d heard it before). We had another couple rides planned for this area but refrained from returning to pay for crappy bikes that were not a good fit.

Bike Arenal is the Best This was our second year we used Bike Arenal for our cycling trip to Costa Rica. They completely took care of the lodging, Bike rides & excursions & transportation. I would highly recommend them without reservations. Alejandro & his team are top notch and treated us like family. We had 14 cyclists in our group and everyone had a BLAST! We will be back…. Excellent tour, I cycled with my 10 year old son. The guides (Steven and Andy) were great and adapted the cycle to our needs. Thanks for a great afternoon!
