A well-stocked little convenience store in La Fortuna with a surprise Romanian name — enough of a surprise that Romanian travelers pull over just to say hello. Beyond the novelty it's a genuinely good stop for quick snacks, drinks, and alcohol, including American-style chips you won't easily find nearby, and the staff are friendly and helpful. A handy, cheerful shop to restock.

I was driving by in the town of La Fortuna when I couldn't believe my eyes: a Romanian name above a shop half a world away from home. Obviously I had to stop and check it out. To my pleasant surprise, the store is very well supplied and has a variety of quality products. Salutări din Hunedoara! ❤️🇨🇷🇷🇴
