About
A tiny La Fortuna shop doing something no one else around here is: dairy from their own locally raised water buffalo. The yogurt is creamy and balanced — the passion-fruit and mixed-berry are standouts — and the buffalo-milk butter goes into brownies people call worth the detour. The crumbly, Parmesan-like secolina cheese is another highlight. Fresh, rich, and made with obvious care.

The best yogurt in Costa Rica is made from water buffalo milk and most people have no idea it exists. Hidden in plain sight, this little shop is quietly doing something nobody else here is: making dairy products that actually taste like the real thing. After ten years of watery, overly sour yogurt across Costa Rica, stumbling onto this place felt like winning the lottery. Everything comes from their own locally raised water buffalo. The yogurt is creamy and perfectly balanced. The milk is fresh and rich. The buffalo milk butter goes into their brownies, which are absolutely worth the detour on their own and they are had the price and double the flavor of anything we found in downtown Fortuna. Their secolina cheese is another highlight: crumbly, bold, and Parmesan-like in the best way. This is the kind of place you find and immediately want to tell everyone about and also nobody about. A true gem.
Loved their yogurt ! super tasty and really good quality. We tried two flavors, sweet passion fruit and mixed berries, and both were delicious. Honestly, if I had found this place earlier, I would’ve eaten it every day!
A little shop with select items and a wonderful owner. I had their passion fruit yogurt and it was a such a delectable healthy treat. I am excited for this store to continue their journey with their energy and products. Thank you Javier!!
