My stay at this property was unfortunately marked by serious safety and hygiene issues that I did not expect. 1. Harassment and safety concerns: During my stay, I was harassed by a known individual who repeatedly knocked on my door for over 30 minutes without stopping, despite my clear communication that I felt threatened. I repeatedly asked the host for immediate assistance, as I was traveling alone and felt unsafe. The host initially dismissed the situation and downplayed my concerns. Only after I mentioned calling the police did he take action. Even then, there was no proactive safety management; I had to monitor the situation myself and coordinate communication between the harasser and the host. This is completely unacceptable, especially for solo travelers who rely on the host for their safety. 2. Poor response from the host: Throughout the incident, communication was confusing and evasive. The host repeatedly emphasized that I was responsible, while he avoided taking accountability. I was left alone in a highly stressful situation, which is not acceptable for any guest. 3. Hygiene issues: After three days, I had to ask why the trash had not been emptied. The bins contained used toilet paper with fecal matter, and I also saw cockroaches in the accommodation. Despite pointing this out, the response was that guests must request trash or towel service themselves. This is extremely unhygienic and disgusting, and the host’s handling of this shows a lack of basic responsibility for guest cleanliness and comfort. Conclusion: This property was neither safe, clean, nor professionally managed. The host shows no willingness to take guest safety or hygiene seriously. I cannot recommend this accommodation, particularly for solo travelers who depend on a safe and sanitary environment.

We loved the location and how easy it was to walk into town. We were under the impression the pool would be warm, so this was disappointing and the shower pressure/temperature was very finicky and difficult. We felt safe, our vehicle was secure, and it served its purpose for us to explore the beautiful part of La Fortuna. They offer typical breakfast for $7 delivered right to your room, which we were able to take a vantage of one day. Very nice.

Great little place! Beautiful pool (family apartment no. 8 even has a private jacuzzi!), quiet and yet very near to restaurants and shops. Big secure parking. Apartments very well maintained and equipped with everything you need.
