Calypso Adventures Costa Rica

This was such a wonderful experience! Warren and Bathsheba we the best guides and so good at pointing out all the differnt animals. As someone who has never rafted, I felt safe and secure the entire time which was wonderful. I couldn't recommend this place more to anyone looking for a fun and educational nature "walk". We saw bats, iguanas, monkeys and so many birds. Warren was so knowledgeable about the animals, plants and history of Costa Rica which made the tour so much better. The beauty of the river and surrounding jungle was also amazing to witness and we couldn't have had a better time.

Absolutely Outstanding Family Rafting Experience! We were searching for a Class III rafting adventure in La Fortuna that would be safe and enjoyable for 3 kids (including a10-year-old), and choosing Calypso Adventures turned out to be one of the best decisions of our entire Costa Rica trip. From the very beginning, the experience was seamless. Our guides arrived right on time at the pickup location, were incredibly friendly, answered all our questions, and made the drive to the river both informative and fun. Along the way, they even stopped to show us sloths and shared fascinating insights into Costa Rican life and culture — a wonderful bonus we didn’t expect. The rafting itself was pure joy. It struck the perfect balance between excitement and comfort, and everyone in our group — including the three kids — had an amazing time. Our guides, Bethshiva and Werner, were exceptional. They were professional, attentive, and genuinely caring, making sure we always felt safe, confident, and relaxed while still having a blast. To top it all off, after the rafting adventure, they took us to a local Costa Rican restaurant, where we enjoyed the best meal of our trip. The food was outstanding, and the service was just as warm and welcoming. Overall, this experience exceeded our expectations in every way. It was fun, well-organized, personal, and incredibly family-friendly. Bethshiva and the entire Calypso Adventures team truly go above and beyond to make the experience special. We highly recommend Calypso Adventures to anyone looking for a personalized, safe, and unforgettable rafting experience in La Fortuna — especially families traveling with kids. We’d do it again in a heartbeat!
