About
The breakfast is what people remember, the woman who cooks it wins over guest after guest, and her fried bananas get called the best they've ever had, with good coffee to match. Beyond that it's a solid-value stay: clean rooms, a volcano view, and a quiet setting off the main road, though it's tucked back and genuinely hard to spot. Expect basic rooms and unreliable WiFi.

Campom Arenal Hotel is a very pleasant place that offers a great balance between quality and price. The rooms are clean, and the entire property is well-maintained, making for a comfortable stay. The only minor downside is the lack of sufficient light in the rooms, but it's not really bothersome enough to affect the overall experience. The biggest highlight, however, is the delicious breakfast, which is a true delight. The lady serving breakfast is incredibly kind, helpful, and charming – her positive energy makes mornings start on a great note. I particularly loved the fried bananas – quite simply, the best I've ever had! Additionally, the coffee served at the hotel is exceptionally tasty, which really adds to the overall atmosphere. I wholeheartedly recommend this place, especially if you're looking for somewhere that combines good quality with a reasonable price.
Room was okay for the price, Location is excellent but service is not as accommodating. Kitchen is usually open at 7. We had to leave for activities at 6:30 so I requested for some coffee at 6:15 at the kitchen and they said they can only give me coffee at 7. I have not had that kind of experience before in Costa rica. I would not come back.
The staff is awesome. Our Uber didn't show up and he changed our dinner reservation without being asked. The signage is hard to see and the hotel is off the main road. Hard to find ut worth the hunt
