Caribbean Winds Costa Rica - Tours & Activities in Arenal Volcano

Absolutely wonderful! Our main guide was Failan, who calls himself a “hippie nerd”. His knowledge of nature and all of Costa Rican history is evident in his love and passion for his country and its beauty. Incredible human! He took us on our kayaking tour plus on a separate fishing tour with Josue, a young man who knows the river like the back of his hand. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner of Caribbean Winds, Carlos, and later his twin brother at El Balcony de Adrenal restaurant where the cooked the fish we caught. Fell in love with Costa Rica , its beauty, but mostly its people.

Just finished the river rafting wild life trip with Carlos and his team and we had a wonderful time. All were knowlegeable, friendly and very keen to show us everything they knew and loved about the river that we were on. It was clear to see that they loved what they did and loved sharing it with tourists. We saw many different animals on the tour and the highlight was a spectacled owl. It was a perfect mix of physical activity and wildlife spotting - and the ability to change direction or pause to see the animals better was very much appreciated. I also loved their focus on maintaining the forest and ecosystem we were seeing and really appreciated their “giving back” to the environment by planting a tree as part of our tour. I would not hesitate to book again. Thanks guys!!

Amazing experience and worth every penny. We experienced the safari float tour. The staff was wonderful and we seen lots of animals. We will definitely do it again
