About
This family restaurant is known for the little extras — a complimentary glass of champagne, guacamole on the house, servers who fed the chickens to entertain the kids. Portions run big; the platter billed for two has fed whole families. The open-air space is spacious, the staff attentive and allergy-aware, and travelers order the casado con pollo and the strawberry cheesecake.

My wife and I enjoyed casada con pollo for dinner. I also had buffalo chicken wings and fries as a ‘side’ (hungry after day of hiking). We then had strawberry cheesecake for dessert. We were the first to arrive at 1730, but the establishment quickly filled with a bus filled with tourists, as well as four other families. Service was attentive. Food was fresh and tasty. A great dinner to end our five days in La Fortuna.
The food and the service was incredible! Just the most amazing and accommodating people here. They fed the chickens for our kids and had smoothies and cookies with tea. The platter that says it was for “2 people” must be an American size because for us Canadians it fed three adults and two toddlers! Couldn’t recommend this place enough! Thank you!
We went to this restaurant around 5 p.m. We ordered a burger, a carbonara pasta dish, and some quesadillas. We were also offered a non-alcoholic Bloody Caesar and a plate of guacamole on the house — such a thoughtful gesture that we really appreciated. Our server was super friendly and funny. The restaurant is spacious and wasn’t crowded at all, which made it perfect. I have a peanut allergy, and they were very attentive to that — I can confirm I’m still alive! 😄 The burger bun wasn’t very warm, but everything else was delicious. Overall, it was a great experience. I highly recommend this place. Thank you!
