About
Peruvian-Chinese 'chifa' cooking from a family that makes you feel at home the moment you walk in. Travelers single out the kamlu wantan dumplings and the sea bass, and the kitchen will make the wantan dough fresh and vegan on request. It gets busy — expect a wait or reserve — and the water refills keep coming.

We had such an outstanding experience at this small, welcoming family-owned spot that truly makes you feel at home the moment you walk in. The owner is incredibly warm and inviting, which made the whole experience even more special. The Peruvian-Chinese fusion concept is unique, and the food absolutely delivers. I tried the vegetarian dumplings (kamlu wantana) and they were outstanding — beautifully presented, packed with sweet and sour flavour, and even though they’re fried, they felt light rather than heavy. Every bite was delicious. I walked by this place last night and it was really busy. It was a rainy night in La Fortuna tonight so not many people out tonight. The chef also made a homemade chicken soup with Peruvian vegetables and spices for my husband that was comforting, very healthy, and full of flavour. We were also treated to an off the menu pineapple cake dessert that tasted like an upside down pineapple hot cake with cold ice cream - chefs kiss. You can tell a lot of care goes into both the food and the experience here. Great flavours, thoughtful presentation, and genuinely kind hospitality. We came because of the strong reviews — and now we completely understand why. I’m leaving here with my belly and heart full 😊 Highly recommend!
Best meal of my Costa Rica trip! I had the sea bass — incredible aroma, beautiful presentation, and amazing flavor. Every dish at our table was fresh and delicious. It’s a wonderful family-run place with warm hosts and a truly talented chef behind the scenes. You can taste the love in the food. Highly recommend!
10/10 recommend this restaurant in La Fortuna! Very hard working, family owned restaurant. The food was delicious and so fresh. The boy (assuming her son) provided great service, ALWAYS had a full pitcher of water for the table (unlimited free refills), which was a huge bonus for our group of six after a long day in the sun.
