About
An hour-and-a-half tour through coffee, chocolate, and sugar-cane production, tasting each along the way—coffee brewed the traditional Costa Rican way, organic chocolate, sugar syrup—while guides like Andres, Abel, and Esteban weave in real Costa Rican culture. Guides routinely spot a sloth or toucan on the property, and even travelers who've done similar tours elsewhere call this one the best. Support a genuinely local operation.

We had our tour with Andres. He was so knowledgeable, kind, and accommodating. I learned a great deal about coffee, chocolate, and sugar cane production, even though I had taken a similar tour in Hawaii in the past. This one was the best by far! We enjoyed tasting everything - from coffee made in traditional Costa Rican way to organic chocolate and sugar syrup. Highly recommend!
Thoroughly enjoyed our informative tour at Northfield. Our guide Jonathon was great! We learned so much about harvesting and making chocolate and coffee. His witty personality and excellent English enhanced our tour immensely. We were also lucky enough to see a Toucan on the property. The excellent coffee and chocolate were a bonus! 100% recommend this tour!
Abel and his son were great! We did the combo tour to see sloths and then did the culture tour for coffee, cane sugar and chocolate. We saw several sloths including a great view of a female 3-toed sloth with a little baby. It was awesome. We loved the culture tour. Abel was so knowlegeable and was really fun!
