Fortuna Pink Hostel

10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! This is the safest, coziest, and most affordable place to stay in La Fortuna. The owner, Gerald, is so kind and attentive. He really puts in so much care into this place, like putting our fresh flowers was such a nice touch! He, his wife, and two daughters check in to make sure you’re comfortable and have everything you need. As a solo female traveler, I have never felt more at home in another place than this Hostel here. It really feels like a home. The location is about 20 minutes walk to the central but and Uber is about $4 so it’s very accessible either way. I will always go to a hostel that I can have my own room AND get to meet other travelers. So this place is such a WIN.

The owner Gerald and his family were extremely welcoming and kind. Gerald always checked in to make sure I felt safe and that I was having fun in La Fortuna. He had several of his own tours that are priced very well, and he also was super helpful finding different shuttle transportations to other parts of Costa Rica for me. The hostel is very clean and secure, and is located right next to 2 great restaurants and a supermarket. I would highly recommend this hostel. It was my favorite in all of Costa Rica!

We stayed here for 5 nights and we're super happy, that we picked this hostel. -> The host Gerald and his family are super friendly and made sure, that we had a great time in La Fortuna -> Gerald showed us sloths, and other animals close to the hostel - since we didn't see any at the mirador el silencio park -> he was very intentional with helping us and made good local recommendations -he also helped us to get a good transport to our next travel destination -> the hostel is very clean In total we had a great time and would totally recommend this hostel.
