A budget guesthouse whose strengths are a friendly, easy-to-reach owner, a well-equipped shared kitchen, and a terrace with a volcano view, parking is right outside and the supermarket and town are a few minutes away. It sits on a busy main road, so expect traffic noise and simple, basic rooms. Experiences vary, so it's worth confirming the essentials with the owner before you book.

We stayed here for four nights. The first two were honestly fine, but the last two completely ruined our experience. The power went out for a day and a half which left us showering with our phone flashlights, no wifi, and no ability to charge. Regardless, the kitchen smelled horrible, our room was covered in ants, there was no hot water, even when letting the owner know, he just apologized and didn’t try to compensate us at all.
Super nice owner and comfortable beds. Bathrooms were kept clean and cannot ask for anything better at this price range in La Fortuna.
Great localization, super nice owner. Nice view from the tarace. If I ever gonna be nearby I will stay there for sure :)
