We had a fantastic experience! The horses were in excellent condition. You can tell the horses were well-cared for and clean. The trail led us on a 15-minute hike to a beautiful waterfall. We got to see the fishes swimming in the clear waters. It was an amazing experience. I highly recommend it!
Our adventure with Horseback Riding Costa Rica was spectacular. Our group ranged from 8 years old to 75. Kevin and his team helped us quickly hit the trail with our horses and we were on our way. We enjoyed a leisurely ride through the jungle to reach the stairs to La Fortuna Waterfall where we could change, take photos and head down the base of the falls. We were able to swim for a little while (very cold water, but worth the dip). Then after returning from the falls, we enjoyed fresh cut pineapple prepared by Kevin and his team. We remounted our steeds and returned to the farm (the horses were hungry and moved a bit quicker). It was such an amazing experience with beautiful, relatively calm horses, serene scenery and wonderful guides. Kevin and his team helped us with our horses the whole way, told us interesting facts and answered questions. We would highly recommend this tour and company.
My mother and I took a horse back riding tour to the volcano on 1/22/26 with the guide Adrien. It was my first time riding a horse but our guide gave us excellent instruction before and during the ride. Adrien was very personable and made the tour feel like talking with an old friend. During our tour we learned so many awesome facts about La Fortuna and Costa Rica. In addition to the stunning views we saw howler monkeys, wild pigs and a sloth which was an added bonus. After the tour we were given complimentary access to the hot springs at the resort which was the best way to relax after the tour. The hot springs had many different pools with varying heats. They also had a free shuttle to/from our Airbnb which was another bonus. I can’t wait to come back to try another tour!
