About
A central, recently renovated hotel a short walk from the Bogarin Trail, restaurants and a supermarket, with clean, modern rooms, ask for the newer ones, and for a volcano view. It works well for budget travelers, with dorm options that still feel hotel-like. One thing to watch: a couple of direct bookers reported a peak-season price adjustment after paying, so confirm your final rate up front.

This hotel is very centrally located, just a short walk from the Bogarín Trail. I stayed in a Volcano View room, which was fantastic. It seems the property has been recently renovated as well. One odd experience: I booked directly through their website, where payment is taken one week before check-in. After I paid, I immediately received another email requesting an additional $20 per night due to peak season pricing, saying the rates had been adjusted after I made the reservation. They also offered the option to use the credit toward downgrading the room type. I wish this had been communicated more clearly upfront, especially for direct bookings, as this is not something I’ve experienced with OTAs.
Hi guys, that is the best hostel I’ve had in Costa Rica so far. It’s actually a hotel with dormitories, it really feels like a high rate hotel. Everything is just so clean, so modern. It’s cheap and I had a really great welcome from the reception. Don’t hesitate if you travel low budget and are in LF.
Hotel was very clean and the receptionists were super nice! Breakfast easy but good! We had a room with view to the Vulcano. Just awesome! Close to the main restaurants.
