Hotel Sanctuarium (Adults Only)

Staying here was paradise. I have stayed at a lot of hotel but this was one of the best. The staff was so kind, attentive and friendly. It is the kind of place where everyone remembers your name and makes you feel truely welcomed. Kevin at the front desk checked in multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed The property itself was so well kept and magical, they put bird food and fruit out and you can see so many animals everywhere, we saw so many beautiful birds and wildlife, even Toucans up close. Some of the most beautiful landscaping ive ever seen. There is even a private waterfall onsite that was just behind the hotel building that was truely special (short paved trail surrounded by gardens and trees that take you down to the stream) , you can really tell how much thought and work went into constructing the place. (I am a engineer so that kind of stuff interests me, I was blown away just thinking about how much effort must have gone into the landscaping and construction of the place) The food was so delicious and breakfast was amazing, Kevin and the other servers were really great and really made our meals enjoyable. (I really liked the green juice and I had it every morning) The view from the dining area was beautiful and there is plenty of wildlife around to watch as you enjoy breakfast. There is also ample parking. Everything was top notch, the service, the food, the room, the hotel atmosphere, If you have a chance to stay here DO IT! Truely special place that I will remember forever. I hope to come back and stay again someday.

I’ve stayed at many luxurious hotels over the years, and Hotel Sanctuarium has been my absolute favourite. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this place is something special. If anything, it’s even better than the pictures. Everything feels brand new, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully designed. The grounds are lush, private, and gated, and we couldn’t have felt safer. There were beautiful paths in every direction, even leading down to a little river with a waterfall. You also get a stunning view of the volcano right from the grounds! Our room was incredibly spacious and had everything you could possibly need like plush robes, slippers, vanity kits, and every small detail carefully considered. It felt elevated yet warm at the same time. Waking up surrounded by vibrant greenery was magical!! At one point we had the tiniest gecko make a surprise appearance in our room and one of the many wonderful staff members immediately came and carefully removed it for us. Special shoutout to Kevin!!! He truly went above and beyond throughout our stay. He made us feel so special and genuinely cared for. In passing, we mentioned a few scratches on our rental car, and he offered to help buff them out, such an unexpected and thoughtful gesture. That level of service is rare. Breakfast was amazing!! It’s served à la carte and you have to try the French toast. The ladies serving breakfast each morning were so sweet and welcoming (I regret not remembering their names!) and made every morning feel personal and warm. It really is the people who make this hotel unforgettable. The combination of immaculate luxurious rooms, stunning private grounds, and genuinely exceptional hospitality makes Hotel Sanctuarium a place we will absolutely return to. It exceeded every expectation. Thank you!!

As a hospitality professional of over 20 years I am in awe of the level of service you are given at this stunning location. Hotel Sancturarium is the epitome of excellence. From the initial arrival communication you are promised a once and a lifetime experience and personalized service that is delivered upon 24/7. The chef is exceptional and if your desires extend beyond the menu is creative and thoughtful in what he creates and the execution. The grounds are exceptional you can get lost in the beautiful landscape and views of the country. At night you can fall asleep to the sounds of the waterfall. I cannot say enough about this fantastic hotel, you MUST visit Hotel Sancturarium in La Fortuna.
