Hotel Secreto la Fortuna

I stayed at this hotel a couple years ago and still remember it fondly! The beautiful grounds in particular are the best part - the pool, the gardens, and the views! It is a little tucked away so it feels peaceful and safe but still very close to walk and get food / explore town. The rooms are basic but still comfortable. We also loved the fresh breakfast every day and the dining area was great!

The hotel is beautifully set in the center of La Fortuna. It is within walking distance to many amazing restaurants. The flora and fauna around the hotel was great! We saw sloths, toucan, and iguana using our binoculars. There were butterflies and hummingbirds around the pool area. We didn't get a chance to use the pool because it was too cold. The staff put out fruits so that birds came to visit while we are eating breakfast. It was so nice to see so many beautiful birds and hear their lovely songs. The reason I took off 1 star is because pillows were too big and hard and made sleeping not as comfortable. There was a clothing rack in the room, but it was too cold to turn on the AC and the heat didn't work, so nothing dried because it was raining everyday. Breakfast was good, but I wish they changed up the fruit selection so that it's not the exact same everyday, especially since we stayed for 3 days.

I truly don't want to leave this Oasis. Cannot wait to return to this beautiful hotel with best location right in the heart of La Fortuna. As a solo traveler I felt very very safe. Rooms are clean and big and gorgeous. Covered patio makes drying clothes easy. Breakfast was tasty. Parking was very easy. The grounds are stunning. But the staff is what makes this place special. Hospitality unmatched. Uriel is the best at trying to find animals to see on the grounds. They helped me get air in my rental car tire. I wish I could live here, truly. Do not hesitate to visit.
