About
A hands-on cooking class where you make a traditional casado and pat out corn tortillas until they puff in the pan — often followed by an optional salsa dancing lesson. Most groups find it fun and engaging, with instructors who keep everyone busy. A few have found the pace rushed when a salsa class follows, so it helps to ask questions as you go.

We really enjoyed our evening cooking class with Kath. She was very detail oriented and made the class fun. Everyone got to cook something and we all made our own torties the Costa Rican way. highly recommend you try this cooking class.
I took the cooking class with Katie in the afternoon via Desafio Adventure Company. We learned to make casado meal (costa rican trditional meal) and corn flour tortilla. The cooking class was for 5 people. We were 3 groups of 1 (me), 2 and another 2. Katie was amazing, kept us engaged throughout the entire time, cutting vegetables, cooking, preparing the tortillas dough and making it puff in the pan! The meal was delicious, i ended up refilling my plate 2 times! Afterwards they returned us to our accomodations. What a lovely evening. Oh and I heard from 2 of the participants there is an option to join a salsa class afterwards.
We had a great time with Kathy and Jennifer who taught us how to cook a delicious traditional Costa Rican meal, and how to salsa dance! So much fun! Highly recommend!
