We did the Fortuna Waterfall + Arenal 1968 Combo, and while the experience was professional, it felt excessively rushed. On the positive side, the team was punctual, the buses were clean and well-kept, and our guide was friendly. However, the pace was intense—the guide walked very fast and rarely checked to see if the group was keeping up. At the waterfall, even a 3-minute stop at the gift shop felt like we were "behind schedule." After the volcano hike on a chilly, rainy day, we weren't even given enough time for a quick coffee at the shop before heading back. A few extra minutes to breathe would have made this a much better experience. Great tour, but be prepared for a very brisk pace.

Excellent! We booked the Arenal Lake by Boat & Peninsula Tour. Our guide Melanie and driver Daniel picked us up promptly at our hotel in La Fortuna in a spotless van. We started with the walk at the Peninsula trail and Melanie provided us with so much valuable information on the plants; forest, country and more. Because it was heavily raining, we did not get a chance to see any animals. The trail has many viewpoints overlooking Arenal lake but it was very foggy so couldn't appreciate the views. It's an easy walk to the lake where our boat was waiting for us to take us back to our transport. Very pleasant again but views restricted because of the fog. We enjoyed fresh pineapple during the cruise. Definitely recommend ! Very professional and knowledgeable guide !

We had a private tour at Mistico Hanging Bridges with Nelson this morning. Out of all of the tours we have done in the Arenal area, Jacamar was the most professional and polished tour operators we had (they were all good, Jacamar was just soo smooth and professional). The tour was easy to book and a fraction of the price of what was offered through the resort. The communication was great before and during the tour. Transportation from the hotel was smooth. Ultimately we didn't see too many animals in the forest, but that is nature for you. Nelson was very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the tour. The various tour guides giving private tours at the time we're all helping each other spot the few animals that felt like being out today. We got to see a few motmots, lizards, bats, and a tiny peek at a snake. Jacamar's many years of experience is apparent in how they run their operation. I would definitely recommend booking your Arenal area tours with them.
