About
A guided wildlife walk built around sloths, guides like Jamie, David and Sergio set up a telescope so everyone can watch and photograph two- and three-fingered sloths, plus frogs, birds and bats, in genuinely natural habitat rather than a staged setup. Day and night tours both run, and it ends with a hands-on treat: pressing your own sugar-cane juice and making tortillas by hand with Costa Rican snacks. Families with kids are welcome.

We came here on our first day in the Arenal area and were drawn by the combination of seeing wildlife sloths etc and the addition of a little food. This tour was fantastic. We saw four sloths including a close up of a mother and a baby. Our tour guide Jemmy (Jamie) was knowledgeable and engaging with a National Geographic photographer’s eye and skill. The tortilla and sugar cane juice lunch was a wonderful cap to this experience. It earns its five star rating!! Check it out.
We booked a night tour with David just a few hours before the tour. He was so wonderful and we loved getting to spend the evening hunting for sloths and snakes and frogs! We enjoyed a quick treat of tortillas and cheese and then we were off with our flashlights to find all sorts of animals! It had rained a lot of the day so that probably helped with how man frogs we saw, but it would have been fun no matter what. They do suggest pants and closed toe shoes. David was great and shared all sorts of great information with us. You can tell he loves his job.
This was a great night hike, we got to see plenty wildlife and the guide made sure we got detailed info in all animals we saw. We visited as a family with small children (4 and 9) and they had a great time as well. David our host and guide was knowledgeable and took his time into really showing us a great variety of species. Will definitely come back when back in La Fortuna
