Rooms are excellent — clean, well finished, and very comfortable. Contrary to some reviews, the shower was consistently hot with good pressure, and the bed was great. Breakfast is good, with fresh fruit and a solid traditional Costa Rican option. Staff are friendly and helpful, including assisting with tour bookings via WhatsApp. A few things hold it back slightly: no shower gel or shampoo provided at this price point, the curtains are poorly designed and difficult to use, and early check-in was mishandled despite prior requests. The grounds are pretty at night but quite spread out, with long walks and a less-gardeny feel than expected. Quiet location about 5 minutes from town — Uber makes getting around easy and affordable. WiFi in my room was very poor. Kept cutting out.

Natural Green Lodge was the best place we could have booked on our vacation to Costa Rica! Each bungalow is surrounded by beautiful plants/nature and the restaurant has a gorgeous view. The staff were very nice and helpful. At the front desk, Minor helped with any questions we had. At the restaurant, Jesús, was very pleasant and friendly. I loved being less than 5 minutes from downtown La Fortuna where there are plenty of shops and restaurants. I figured Natural Green Lodge was going to be pretty, but I was shocked and how much the pictures online actually depicted its beauty! I feel lucky to have found such a great lodge.

Review for La Fortuna Natural Greens – Family Room 7 Our stay at La Fortuna Natural Greens fell a bit short of expectations. While the listing photos were bright and inviting, the actual lighting in the rooms was very inadequate, making the space feel dim. The hot water situation was also disappointing. The water was barely lukewarm, and although waiting an hour could produce hot water, the system only provides hot water for 5-minutes, which is impractical. The property includes an outdoor kitchen, which could have been a nice feature, but it was not maintained properly. It was often dirty, with animals crawling around, and appeared not to have been cleaned for weeks. When we checked in, the dishes in the outdoor kitchen were all dirty. Additionally, the reception forgot to service our room on the first day and later blamed us for not placing a service request card outside—something we never received initially. After complaining, they provided the card and replaced trash bags and towels, but this should have been handled proactively. Overall, the property could improve by: - Adding better lighting in all rooms. - Ensuring hot water is consistently available. - Equipping rooms with basic comforts like a TV. - Maintaining outdoor areas with the same care as indoor spaces. - Improving communication and service standards. This place has potential, but attention to these details would make the experience much better.
