About
A rock-bottom-budget spot a step from downtown La Fortuna, where the draw is the price and a traditional Costa Rican breakfast—not the frills. Rooms are fan-cooled with no AC, which the cooler evenings mostly make bearable. Be realistic: reviewers repeatedly flag no hot water and worn, basic bedding, so it suits travelers who just need a cheap place to sleep.

The outside and neighborhood aren't pretty but ok. Inside there are many ants in the room, thin sheets with stains, no blanket. small stained towels. smelly lumpy pillows, very loud atmosphere (bad karaoke nearby until late) shower with NO HOT WATER. It is also Very humid with only a small fan, no AC. , cockroaches in the kitchen on the counter at night. No hot water/tea kettle. There are also large holes in the wall in the bathroom. The description says 'Breakfast is included' and 'free breakfast' but they would not provide it. I showed them where it says on my booking description "free breakfast" but they would not honor it. Because I paid in cash I could not dispute the charge. Would recommend against going here if you can avoid it. VERY DISAPPOINTED, wish I could get my money back.
We paid 6500 colons per night and for this price the room bathroom and breakfast are amazing Although there was no a/c I give this place 9/10 for all the other things.
Dirty bed sheet, no hot water. Overall cleanliness "ok". One night was enough.
