The dress-up choice in La Fortuna — the kind of place for an anniversary or birthday. Dinner opens with welcome drinks and warm bread and closes with little dessert balls, and the espresso martini gets called one of the best around. Steak is the centerpiece, from the rack of lamb to filet mignon and a wagyu ribeye surf and turf, all cooked to the mark.

We went here for my sister's birthday dinner and the food was incredible! Definitely the fanciest place we went while here and it was so worth it. They give you welcome drinks (delicious & fruity), free bread that was delicious (pictured), and little dessert balls at the end that were SOOO good. The espresso martini was one of the best I've ever had- they have mastered this drink for sure. I also had red wine that was very good. I ordered the rack of lamb and it was SO GOOD and my fiancé ordered the filet mignon. All of the food was cooked to perfection and the service was excellent. Definitely a great choice if you are celebrating an anniversary or something while in La Fortuna!
My husband and I have been here twice in one week. The food is amazing and staff is very welcoming! The skirt steak was great. We also had the wagyu ribeye surf and turf. It was fantastic!
The Maria Bonita Steak House was our most favorite restaurant in LaFortuna, Costa Rica. Everything about this restaurant was Five Star. The Chefs & waiting staff were amazing. Enjoy!!
