Mexikah Taqueria

What an amazing find in LA Fortuna! This taqueria is serving up some fantastic Mexican meals. We went there twice during our stay in LA Fortuna because the food was that good. Their chicken volcanoes were so flavorful! We also loved their Elotitos corn appetizer, and Chicarron de Queso- a crispy cheese appetizer! The soft tacos were ok but other items were better. Location is great and parking convenient.

We went to this restaurant for lunch because we really enjoy Mexican cuisine. We ordered tacos al pastor, chorizo, pescado, birria, and a campechano quesadilla. Honestly, I don’t understand the 5/5 reviews. Either those reviewers have never tried truly good Mexican food, or they were served completely different ingredients and preparation. The pastor, birria, and fish tacos were just average. The quesadilla had no real flavor of meat or cheese — the only taste was how burnt it was. I had to add every sauce available just to give it some flavor. If you want to try something much better, go to El Mariachi instead — I’m 100% sure you’ll enjoy it.

Had the most amazing tacos at this restaurant. We wish we would have found it sooner as we would have definitely been back. We ordered the birria and chicken tacos, both of which were amazing. Also started out with guacamole and it was the best we have had in awhile. Highly recommend this place!
