About
A family-run spot where Franklin and his relatives look after you, five minutes' walk from the center of La Fortuna. Rooms are clean and feel new, there's a well-stocked shared kitchen and laundry, and Pepe the resident sloth lives in a tree on the grounds if you're patient enough to spot him. It's quiet, feels safe, and is cash-only for now.

I had a great stay at Oasis by Franklin. It's run by a family. They are really sweet and helpful. The rooms are good and clean. There is a general kitchen. But they also have like apartments with a kitchen inside. They also have a nice swimmingpool. Also there is a sloth you can watch like every day because it's in the tree on the hotel grounds. I also did feel really safe. It's quiet but still really near by everything (+- 5 min walk, maybe even less, to the center). Sad that I couldn't stay any longer. When I come back to Costa Rica I will come back.
Franklin and his staff were helpful. The room was comfortable and seemed pretty new. Walking distance from the town centre. Pepe the sloth was hard to find, but we did eventually see him. There's a pool under construction. The kitchen was well stocked. They had laundry (washer and dryer) available. Cash only.
My room was large, clean, with air conditioning and a modern and very spacious bathroom. There is a shared kitchen fully equipped. The location is also very central. The only 'flaw' is that they only accept cash, even though they are currently working on accepting cards too. Nonetheless, the ATM is only at 5 min walk, so that is not a real problem. I very much recommend it for a good night rest in a comfy bed and fresh room.
