If you need a cake while in Arenal, Verónica is the person to text — she takes custom orders for birthdays and weddings, often on short notice, and works with you on the design. People single out her tres leches and how the cakes come out both beautiful and genuinely delicious, all at a fair price. The shop itself can be tricky to find.

A group of us came to La Fortuna to celebrate my partner’s 40th birthday and another friend was also celebrating a birthday. I contacted Veronica before arriving in La Fortuna and requested a couple of cakes for them. Veronica was very helpful and made suggestions. We ended up ordering a third cake and she makes a tres leches cake. Very glad we did. All 3 cakes were delicious and beautifully decorated. I highly recommend Veronica if you are celebrating or just want a cake while visiting Arenal.
I ordered a wedding cake from Veronica she was very helpful and easy to deal with the cake was fabulous. Hard to find her shop. But we eventually did.
