Rancho Cerro Azul

Our stay at Ranch Cerro Azul was fantastic! Perched just on the edge of town, we enjoyed our own private cabin with a beautiful, secluded back porch and hot tub. The cabin was beautifully decorated, with comfortable beds and thoughtful details throughout. The grounds are stunning, filled with lush gardens and a lovely short hiking trail leading down to the river out back. The bar and restaurant were top-notch, the food was amazing! The staff were all wonderful—special thanks to William and Isaac for making our stay even more memorable.

Had am amazing time for our honeymoon and this is a very beautiful and convenient place to stay while visiting La Fortuna. The staff are absolutely amazing and went out of their way to help. I recommend reaching out ahead of time to book tours, they know the best ones, and you can pay though them. Yes the beds a a bit firm but honestly I got some of the best sleep. The food at the restaurant is good, and very convenient. Definitely try other places though, too.

Enjoyed our stay here. The rooms were nice, clean with fridge, small kitchen, jacuzzi and 2 veranda. We had laundry done, 5 dollars for each kg. A few extra things would have been good. Hooks for coats and towels, and mugs (cups provided were very small but we popped into the supermarket and bought some for a dollar each). I also think we should have breakfast in the price of the room. We paid about £145 a night, which is a lot yet that didn't include breakfast nor the night tour. That was another 40 dollars each. We didn't bother. But the walk/trail to the river was pleasant and we saw several birds and a close up of an Agoutis who was too busy eating fruit to worry about us. Pleasant and helpful staff, especially Isaac. Food in restaurant was very nice. Not a huge range but delicious.
