About
A bright, spotless breakfast spot where the coffee is a highlight — the vanilla and oat-milk lattes get named as some travelers' favorites anywhere. Plates like the omelette with melt-in-your-mouth rosemary potatoes, a gallo pinto bowl, and the tico-style American breakfast all deliver, with fresh maracuyá juice alongside. You can buy coffee and chocolate to take home too.

We visited D’Balu for breakfast and had a wonderful experience. The restaurant is beautiful, clean, and very inviting, creating the perfect atmosphere to start the day. I ordered a latte with oat milk, and it was so good that I even got another one to go. We also enjoyed the omelette served with sautéed rosemary potatoes and a gallo pinto bowl. Both dishes were well-prepared, beautifully presented, and full of incredible flavor. The fresh cheese was a great addition and tasted delicious. I also had a natural maracuyá juice, which was refreshing and complemented the meal perfectly. Everything was excellent, from the quality of the food to the overall presentation. The service was fast and efficient, especially impressive considering one person was managing everything. Overall, it was an amazing breakfast experience, and I would definitely recommend D’Balu to anyone looking for delicious food and great coffee in a beautiful setting.
We just finished eating breakfast here - strongly strongly recommend! We ordered the Omelette and American breakfast tico style. Everything was excellent, orange juice was so fresh. Wife’s coffee was great too. The rosemary potatoes that came with the omelette melted in your mouth. The cheese croquettes were a fun and scrumptious change of pace. The omelette itself was cooked very thoroughly which was also a tasty difference maker. Staff were very friendly and helpful & atmosphere is bright and good music. Come here!
This place was PHENOMENAL!! Best sandwich I had ever had and la Josephina mocktail was so yummy. Our server, Emily, was so kind. We were also able to buy coffee and chocolate and it was a fantastic experience. Highly recommend!!!!
