About
The second, smaller Fortuneño location, and a favorite with families — there's a play area stocked with toys to keep kids busy while the food comes. The bbq ribs come tender and saucy, the quesa birria tacos and avocado tartar earn shout-outs, and the wait is often shorter than the flagship down the street. Typical Costa Rican fare, a touch pricey but worth it.

Look, we pulled into this place knowing it looked touristy, but the smoke out of the bbq out front drew is in. And it was great! There's a kids play area with toys and a play kitchen in the back, perfect for the kiddos while we wait for food from the expansive menu. Everything was great, from drinks like their margarita special to the bbq ribs, which were tender and saucy and amazing. Quesa birrilla tacos as an appetizer were fantastic. Highly recommend!
Amazing place for families with kids and great food. Avacado tatar was a killer! The playroom has so many toys - our boys (7 & 5) got occupied all the time we were there. Very clean bathroom with changing station and nice service. Happy we tried this place
If you go, hopefully Luis is your restaurant host because he was the best! We tried to go to the original / bigger location but it was backed up and, surprisingly, the second location had practically no wait! We were seated and treated to one of the best meals of our vacation. The atmosphere was wonderful, the food fantastic (Get the Chilfrio...just sayin), and the staff were incredible. Would absolutely recommend this place!
