About
The tacos are the reason to come to VarSe — birria, fried fish, and al pastor all get named again and again — along with the chips and guac and a solid happy hour. There are local micro-brews to pair, and hosts like David guide you through the menu even with little Spanish. Prices lean toward the higher, American end.

This was maybe the tastiest food we had in our 7 days spent in LaFortuna! I recommend the Arroz con Pollo (rice and chicken) or the tacos! Don't skip the chips and guac!
We visited Restaurante VarSe in La Fortuna, as our first dinner out in Costa Rica. The staff is friendly and helpful in selecting drinks and meal choices off their tasty menu. We had the bean/guac/pico appetizer and the tacos - chicken and fish (both fried) and pastor. All were delicious! Would definitely come back again.
Amazing food! Service phenomenal. The tacos birrias were so good!! American prices.
