Rincón Verde Massage

My boyfriend and I booked a couples massage and it was incredible! She found my tension spots right away and worked them out perfectly. The facial was to die for. I felt so refreshed and glowing afterward. The whole two hour experience was pure relaxation and such a special treat for both of us. We left feeling amazing and can’t wait to come back!

I booked the “Special: Exfoliation, Wrap, and Massage $150/2 hours.” Connected via WhatsApp to schedule same-day and was graciously offered a $30 discount. The massage was good and the masseuse adjusted pressure upon request. That said, the room was very cold, and for context I was traveling to Costa Rica from the Boston winter. It felt genuinely hard to enjoy the experience for how cold it was inside the room. The AC was turned off after the masseuse noticed I was shivering. The body wrap used a good exfoliant and I noticed my skin was noticeably smoother. The biggest problem I had with this experience was the shower. After the body wrap, I had to transition to a bathroom in someone else’s massage room (a man’s room), wearing nothing but a bed sheet that had been wrapped around me. Thankfully, he had his head down. The shower was in a single-person bathroom but obviously shared among many guests as there were other robes in the room. The shower had no hot water and I found myself washing as quickly as possible given I was freezing, the door didn’t lock, and I was worried someone would come in. This was a very poor way to end the experience which had been alright up until that point. When I returned to the massage room, the door was wide open with my valuables unattended, the light had been turned on, and no one was present. I assumed the experience was over and made my way to the front where I paid. The staff were really nice overall, and I am happy with the massage, wrap, and facial in terms of quality, but I would not return due to the lack of privacy, customer care, and facilities. I hope my review helps another woman choose a different spa that will help her feel more comfortable.

Found this spa by chance on our stay in La Fortuna. Super cute, clean, friendly & kind staff- wonderful services for a great cost! Will definitely be back! 10/10
